"Helped my mother through a difficult time"

About: Royal Alexandra Hospital / Acute Medical Unit (Ward 2)

(as a relative),

My mother was admitted to ward 2 - AMU -  and spent 2 days there. Although we got off to a tricky start due to communication errors, the care following this was next to none. Especially the staff on the nightshift.

Mum's nurse - Amy - was exceptional and myself and my mum can’t thank her enough for her help and compassion at a difficult time for her. Mum was very anxious and upset when Amy came on shift and she took the time to sit with mum and I to explain everything and put our minds at ease. She was friendly and smiley and done such a fantastic job.

I would also like to give a special thanks to the Nursing Assistant - Linda - who made mum laugh and helped her through a difficult time.

Thank you all.

Dear ospreyjs89

Thank you for taking the time to leave us such lovely feedback regarding your mum's experience of attending the Acute Medical Unit of the Royal Alexandra Hospital.

It was great to hear how the staff took the time to make your mum feel welcomed and at ease when she first arrived in the ward and answered any questions she may have had.

I will be happy to pass on your thanks to the team especially Amy and Linda who I'm sure will be touched to receive such glowing feedback about their service.

Kind regards

Kevin
