Good Afternoon yankeetf88,

Thank you for leaving a comment on our Care Opinion website. We find that patients often feel surprised, worried and sometimes overwhelmed when they are first told that their HbA1c is raised. Whilst pre-diabetes can be worrying, the good news is small lifestyle changes can help reduce your risk of type 2 diabetes!

I assume you may have completed one of our recent programmes and if so I hope you found it useful and helpful. If you haven't yet been linked in with a programme and received support please speak with your GP or Practice Nurse and ask about the Diabetes Prevention Programme.

We also have a short 5 minute video which provides more information on pre-diabetes and lifestyle changes to reduce risk - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hhFuez6_H4Q

Best Wishes,

Kathryn Bleakney

Diabetes Prevention Programme Manager
