"Waiting in wrong room at sexual health clinic"

When i arrived at the front desk i said i had an appointment and i was told to go upstairs. So i followed the people in front of me to a waiting room. I sat there for an hour and then got a text to say i had missed my appointment, it turns out i was in the wrong waiting room. Luckily the receptionists at the sexual health desk were very nice and managed to fit me in so i still got an appointment, so thank you to them.

I feel a bit silly about having been in the wrong place. However, i would say that it wasn’t made particularly clear by the front desk. There is a small sign for the sexual health centre, but it isn’t very obvious, especially when you are feeling a little bit nervous and apprehensive about your appointment. I just thought this was something worth mentioning.

However, my appointment was a really positive experience, the doctor was extremely kind and made me feel very comfortable. It was a really good service, all my questions were answered and i feel much reassured. A good experience like that really makes me want to be more proactive in keeping on top of my sexual health.
