Prior to working with IPS, I thought it was going to be more difficult than it was to find a new job. I felt like I needed to move on from my previous employment. I had been out of work for so long and I didn’t feel like I would find another job. I did not even have a CV.
I had worked with the IPS Employment Service previously (Employment Specialist Simon) which was very positive but found the second time to be much better as I was in a better place. I had more recent experience and was in a better place. I felt more like I could search for work.
On the initial meeting I felt like my Employment Specialist Rayhaan listened and explained the support on offer (job applications, interview prep, etc.).
After the second meeting and over time I felt like I could open up. I had support with writing a CV, job searching/application, signing up to websites and interview prep.
Rayhaan reached out to an employer and set up an interview for me to attend. He then supported me to prepare and get ready for the interview. I ended up getting the position. I feel I have reached my employment goal that work around my personal life.
IPS has helped the most by instilling confidence in me and I found the CV building aspect the most helpful. The In Work Support was also very helpful in helping me through the first couple of weeks which were quite difficult.
I am happy with the service and there is nothing they can improve on.
