"She was so lovely and so helpful."

About: Raigmore Hospital / Maternity care

(as a service user),

I had a huge amount of support and help from the breastfeeding consultant at Raigmore hospital in Inverness called Kareen.

I had just had my daughter a few days before and she helped me perfect my latch, and gave me some really good tips to make sure I was able to breastfeed comfortably. She was so lovely and so helpful.

Hi Annalie,

Congratulations on the birth of your daughter and thank you for taking the time to tell us about the support you had from Kareen while in hospital. I will pass this on to Kareen and I am sure she will be delighted to have known that she helped you getting your breastfeeding journey off to such a great start.

You have really highlighted the imporance of the early benefits of effective positioning and attachment and the great tips you can be given by others to support continuation of feeding.

Thank you again

Kind regards

Karen Mackay
