Anything else?
I have experienced through community working in South West London young people and adults with mental health and now an elderly gentleman who I must say is getting top quality care from this hospital. You are a breath of fresh air to me. He not only gets a call before his routine / or not routine appointments before the day to check he remembers and is ready in advance. But he gets a call about transport about the day before saying when they will pick him up. When he has been at other hospitals and they try to go to a different ward for him and mistake him for another patient when trying to drop him off in a totally different area to where he lives and eventually gets delivered under a new name anyway..... Now never have I called c&W and got a 'I dont know' or not interested attitude they are always efficient and on the ball...even the recording when you call them says to you to have a pen and paper handy and your hospital appointment details etc only let down is poor old receptionists have to field all the calls as the little computer dont understand a word of what we say when it says 'please say the ward or name you want to be put through to'...doesnt matter how posh or what accent you use - it really has issues. Good Communication is the secret key to the NHS (GP surgery's included - I seen surgery's on this website get well praised -no idea who wrote all the good write ups but they cant even be bothered to write a comment back to them) - and here at C&W they got it ! x Oh and when you speak to someone they are really nice and normal and efficient basically...they go the extra mile and it is basically a pleasure to deal with them. I totally trust friends or family to be there.
"This is how the NHS should be run"
