About: Glasgow Dental Hospital and School / Emergency Dental Treatment Centre Level 1

(as a service user),

Contacted the GG&C Emergency Dental line due to my 7 year old having a swollen jaw and tooth pain. The first person I spoke to was so professional, kind and helpful. I was contacted less than 30 minutes later by a dental nurse who was triaging the cases, who was also professional and so kind. She arranged an appointment within the hour. We were seen within five minutes of our arrival time and Diane the dentist and Nancy the dental nurse were so wonderful with my son. They chatted to him to put him at ease and he quite happily let them have a look. 

They were completely non judgemental and so kind. I myself have huge amounts of dental phobia and my son had a previous medical experience that was traumatic for him so to even get him in a chair was an achievement.

They advised us on what to do next and were really just really great.

Firstly, I would like to pass on my best wishes to your son and hope he is much better now, while taking the opportunity to thank you for taking the time to get in touch with such lovely feedback.

I was so pleased to hear what an effective and pleasant treatment journey you and your son had within the Public Dental Service - Emergency Dental Treatment Centre.

I appreciate the difficulties of being dental phobic and how challenging this must have been for you and your son therefore it is wonderful to share your feedback with the staff that helped with your sons dental appointment.

I will be sure to pass on your lovely feedback to the team and I am sure the staff will be encouraged to know that they have been appreciated and helped with your visit.
