After my cardiac event last year, I was referred to QUEH Cardiac Rehab Unit for rehabilitation, including exercise, support and advice.
During my time with Theresa, Tricia and William (and nurses), I would describe the services of this department as totally invaluable!
It was amazing to know this support was here after a cardiac event, and not just to be discharged and that was that.
This service, department and staff are irreplaceable!
Along my journey, I met other men and women who had a cardiac event and everyone bonded, and there was a real camaraderie between us all. We all developed good friendships.
It was amazing to see people older and younger than me exercising, and it really spurred me on to keep active.
We also bonded more during our walks around Bellahouston Park, and had a good laugh!
As for Theresa, Tricia and William - they were so supportive and we ended up more like good friends, rather than staff-patient.
I would definitely recommend this service to anyone who has had a cardiac event *** 1,000% ***!
So come on - keep your feet moving, and think of your BORG, lol!
"This service, department and staff are irreplaceable!"
