"The care of the staff was amazing"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Orthopaedics (Wards 10a, 10b, 10c &10d)

(as a service user),

Moved from Crosshouse for operation on my leg for Ilizarov frame.

I'll list the names of all the staff I knew who were attending to me and truly taking real good care of me during my stay  when I was moved to QEUH Ward 1 C Major Trauma.

The care of the staff I will name at the bottom was amazing! There was some really caring nurses, health care support workers, domestic staff, catering staff, x-ray/radiology and porters!

I didn't get everyone's name but I did my best to get them all!

Justina, SN

Lauren, SN

Michelle catering

Liz, HCSW

Sheena HCSW

Cheryl SN

Megan HCSW

Jess SN

Morgan HCSW

Rabia HCSW/student nurse too!

Beth SN

Aimee SN,

Amy Bank,

Susan catering

Ola catering,

Elise ward doctor nightshift

Olivia physiotherapy and her partner didn't get her name sorry.

I cant express my thanks enough to all of the Angels of 10C who had to deal with me during my stay and those who I didn't catch their name! My stay and my care was tremendous! There was always someone to explain what I didn't understand. If I was feeling down I was brought back up. Everyone was so nice! Even if I was crabbit with my pain I was nursed through it and brought back to as normal as I could be! I have made a promise to visit when I am up at clinic and I will keep that promise when I'm not relying on patient transport!

Best mention Andrew my frame specialist nurse too! Tony my surgeon and the other surgeon who I can't remember his name, sorry!

From the bottom of my heart thank you!

Please if we can get my message here to everyone on 10 C I would really appreciate it let them know how important to me it was for them to care for me!

Hi

Thank you for taking the time to write to pass on your thanks to the QEUH teams involved in your recent care following your transfer from Crosshouse Hospital.

The Orthopaedic and Major Trauma teams work hard to provide the best care possible and it is very gratifying for staff to receive such great feedback and to know their efforts really make a difference to patients in our care.

It's amazing that you remembered so many individual staff names and we will ensure your message of thanks is passed on to them all.

I wish you all the best for your ongoing recovery and rehabilitation from your injury.

Thanks again

I wrote everyone's name down so I could thank them all this way! I know how much it will mean to the staff who look for no thanks and do what they do because they love what they do!

Thanks again!
