"Child struggling with urine continence day and night"

About: Children & younger people's services / Continence Team (CYP)

(as a service user),

Our journey for getting continence support for our son was initially, rocky. At times we had felt judged by school and other medical professionals, feeling like they presumed poor diet or laziness was the cause of our sons issues.

Once we were referred to the children's continence team I was relieved to be listened too.

Immediately I knew I was talking to the right people.

Our nurse provided excellent support, she offered strategies based on our sons individual needs and sign posted us to other agencies that could support.

Progress was steady, check ins and over the phone provided us with the right level and input and gave us confidence to continue.

I have to say our son would not be in the position he is now without all of your support!

It's had such a massive impact positively on our family and most importantly our sons life

Huge thank you!
