"Mobility assistance for my wife."

About: Community Therapy Services / Lymington and New Milton

(as a carer),

My wife has a severe mobility issue, and getting out of bed on to the glide along for moving to the bathroom in the morning was difficult for her.

The Occupational Therapist visited more than once at getting up time and initially suggested moving the bed downstairs so the Sara Stedy could be used to move to the downstairs bathroom. We were not keen with this suggestion and the OT then suggested a hospital style bed in the bedroom. Not sure there would be room for this without major rearrangement of furniture.

We asked about a hoist of some sort but that would be too heavy to get upstairs. OT eventually provided a Mo Lift which works extremely well and we are absolutely delighted with it.

Thank you very much for taking the time to feedback about your experience with the OT from Lymington and New Milton. It sounds like there was a lot of team work between yourselves and the OT to find the best solution to help you and your wife to manage successfully at home.
