I was a patient on Male Medical for just over a week waiting on a heart and lung transplant, and as you can imagine I had numerous tests carried out in that time. All the nursing staff have been wonderful, especially a young trainee male nurse, he has been amazing. Nothing is ever too much trouble for him, he has worked carefully and effectively and has treated me like a person and not a sick patient which I like.
The doctors have kept me well informed on my condition, but sometimes I have just felt they are holding back on information as I am so unwell.
The only negative I have is the food, I really do think they could update the menu. It is the same food every few days on rotation. The coffee bar and canteen are really nice and all the staff are very friendly and can tell what I want which is great that they remember me.
Everyone has been amazing from the nurses to the porters.
"Excellent team"
