"I wasn't listened to and my baby died during labour"

About: John Radcliffe Hospital / Maternity

(as a service user),

My daughter died during labour 8 days after my bump height dropped. I was referred for a scan twice by my midwife which was refused. I chased it calling 44 times one day, but got nowhere as nobody listened.

Then, nobody brought my induction forwards. By the time my consultant finally agreed to speak to me 6 days after concerns he didn't bring my induction forward or scan me because it was in 2 days.

I then went into labour 10 hours before my induction and when I got to the hospital my daughter had died. I was on a growth restriction identification pathway and it stopped all scans at 36 weeks and failed to pick up my daughter had a growth restriction.

They didn't follow the national guidelines. I told them this before my daughter died, but nobody listened.
