About: Western Health & Social Care Trust / Post Covid Syndrome Service

(as a service user),

Had Covid in 2020. Was hospitalised and received great care on Covid ward. Unfortunately the virus has changed my life with regards to fatigue and dysfunctional breathing.

I attended the Covid course in the Foyle Arena with Ellen and Tracy which was very beneficial. Having continued help and support from Ellen has both helped and educated me in regards to managing my condition. This has been invaluable, great to know she is available to contact if needed.

This service has been a great support and provided excellent information over this period, many thanks.

Thank you for taking the time to reflect on your experience with the Post Covid Syndrome service. It is great to hear that you found the post covid rehab programme beneficial.

When setting up the service, the team were aware that due to severity of symptoms, some service users may require one to one input after completion of the groups. We aim to accommodate this need as best we can given our small team and the wide geographical area we cover. The fact that you feel these additional sessions were valuable to your recovery reinforces their worth.

We appreciate your feedback and wish you well with your continued recovery.
