It was Christmas day and I was under a great deal of stress and going through really difficult personal problems. I had been struggling with my mental health and weight for quite a while. It was around lunch time that I had a very serious panic attack with pain shooting down my arms along with stiffness and a soft spongy feeling on my chest.
My family decided to call an ambulance who arrived promptly and dealt with my emergency with great calm and friendly manner. They very quickly and professionally gave me a complete MOT to ascertain what the problem was, as it turned out I am in good health, with one paramedic even saying that my heart is healthier than his. I felt much better afterwards and reassured by their treatment.
I really can't say enough about how good they were and how they made me feel comfortable during a time of great pain and uncertainty. They were absolutely fantastic and prove that the NHS is still a amazing service and institution to be proud if.
I also attended A&E a few weeks later with similar problems and the treatment was just as good, very professional, reassuring and quick to be seen. I would like to recommend commendations for all the staff involved in my treatment.
A big thankyou to the NHS!
