About: Ninewells Hospital / Acute Medical Unit (AMU)

(as a relative),

My mum was recently admitted to ward 15, AMU at Ninewells.

Staff were excellent from doctors to nurses etc. 

Only thing I would mention is we had a bit of trouble trying to get help to get my mum to the toilet, a lot of the staff all wear the same blue scrubs so it’s hard to know who’s who. We asked someone for some help and they explained they were a doctor, and to ask one of the nursing auxiliaries. Couldn’t figure out who they were as most of them too wore the same scrubs and not the light blue uniform I’d usually see, so it was very confusing.

Apart from that though, excellent

Thank you so much for taking time to give us this feedback. The staff are always really grateful to receive positive feedback and it really does give the team a boost.

I can understand how challenging it can be identifying members of the team at times. I will discuss this with the senior charge nurse and we will see if there is anything we can do to make this slightly easier for patients and visitors when they are in the ward.

I hope your mum is feeling better after her recent stay in hospital.
