"Inflammatory bowel disease"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Gastroenterology (Stomach and Gut)

(as a service user),

For the last three years my IBD has struggled to stay in remission. I have found life extremely difficult and work a stress due to this.

I have suffered this disease for over 20 years and was on the same medication along with courses of steroids.

The past year and a half I had to change to biologics which was a very daunting thought for a 55 year old .

Without the support of the nurses in the IBD clinic I would not have got through this spell.

Good afternoon,

Thank you very much for providing feedback on the care provided by the IBD nursing team. I am pleased to hear you felt supported during changes to your treatment plan and will ensure I feed this back to the team. Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback, it means a lot to teams to know they have made a positive impact on someone's health journey.
