I had an anaphylaxis episode that resulted in my attending A&E in the early hours of the morning. Despite there being many people in the waiting room and a notified 6 hour wait time advertised, I was whisked through and within seconds had numerous marvellous medical personnel helping me in, what was, a very scary time.
I was kept in for approx. 7 hours on 10 mins obs, and not once was I left by myself. Everything was explained to me clearly, and each and every member of staff were extremely kind, efficient and professional throughout. Ditto when I was moved to AMU for a further 24 hours observation to ensure there wasn't a repeat. I couldn't fault anything - the care was exemplary, and truly life saving and I'll be forever grateful for every member of the RD&E team I was most fortunate to be cared by, Many, many thanks.
