"The team spoke with me throughout the procedure"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Urology (Ward 11c)

(as the patient),

I was admitted to QEUH following a complication during hysterectomy surgery. Unfortunately I required a nephrostomy bag fitted.

Whilst the care and attention was lacking on the urology ward, the care I received from the urology consultant surgery team was incredible.

Jackie and Robyn kept me comfortable during the procedure which was carried out under local anaesthetic by Kevin and Oscar, apologies if the names are incorrect. They spoke to me throughout, providing comfort and reassurance during a really difficult time.

Thank you.

Hello dls1980

Thank you for sharing your care experience at your recent visit to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. I am glad to hear your experience with the surgery team was so positive, and that they communicated so effectivity with you during your procedure, providing reassurance and comfort through your procedure. I will make sure your experiences are shared with the team.

I also wanted to offer my apologies that you found the care lacking during your time on the Urology ward and will make sure your feedback also reaches these colleagues for learning and reflection.

Kind Regards

Paul
