About: Royal Alexandra Hospital / Day Surgery Unit Royal Alexandra Hospital / High Dependency Unit (HDU)

(as a relative),

My sister had been admitted for day surgery at RAH recently. She experienced a reaction to the anaesthetic and had to be admitted to HDU where she remained for 6 days.

The day and night staff in the day theatre were very attentive to my sister and kept us as a family informed throughout.

I would like to extend a massive thank you on behalf of my family to them and the HDU staff for their excellent care and attention.

Dear Sharry

Thank you so much for taking the time to tell us about your sister's experience of attending the Day Surgery/ HDU Department's of the Royal Alexandra Hospital.

I can only begin to imagine how worried your sister and the family must have been after she experienced a reaction to the anaesthetic while in for her operation. Hospitals can be a daunting place at the best of times so to hear she received excellent care and treatment in her time of need was very heart warming.

I have passed on your thanks to the team who have asked me to thank you for your kind words. It really means a lot.

I hope your sister is feeling a lot better and recovering well back at home.
