I recently called EPAS at QE at 8am and left a message. They called back at 8.55, but unfortunately I couldn’t get to my phone before it went to answering machine as was taking my daughter into school.
I called straight back and left a message. Their answering machine message says that they would call back before 16:30 on the same day or within 24hours of first contact. It is now well over 24 hours now and I have not been called back. I’m struggling to believe that they are still only working through calls from yesterday before 9am.
I called again in the afternoon and called again twice the next day, and still waiting. I am really shocked. I am really upset and feel that there is no one you can actually contact. You either have to be so unwell that you need to go to A&E or else sit at home bleeding hoping someone will call.
I’m well aware that if I am or have miscarried there is nothing they can do and I know about the struggles of the NHS, but this feels actually quite cruel. It’s also costing the NHS money as I’ve been off the last two days cause of the bleeding.
