"Unfriendly Mental health outpatients building"

About: Somerset NHS Foundation Trust / Adult community mental health

(as a service user),

Holly court Yeovil was once an open welcoming  place which you felt at ease on arriving. Since the changes to layout of site Holly Court is dark and unwelcoming. With a series of locked doors unfriendly reception staff. Uncomfortable bland corridor waiting area. You are made to feel like you are visiting a prison. It’s horrid

Dear microscopiummd58,

Thank you for taking the time to let us know of your thoughts when you recently attended Holly Court, and I am sorry that this was your experience.

I have spoken with the manager of the area, who agrees that the environment is not ideal, however, we are limited with what changes we can make to the building to improve this for both staff and patients but we continue to review this. We also have to consider the security of the building which means at times, the doors need to be locked.

Please accept my apologies if staff came across as unfriendly as I am sure this would not have been their intention.
