"Supportive and caring family nurse"

About: Children's Specialist Health Services / Family Nurse Partnership

(as a service user),

When I found out I was pregnant it was quite a shock, I was a young mum and still an apprentice at the time. I still stayed with my mum and so did my partner. Our family nurse Kirsty helped us in so many ways. From the start she was a reliable and friendly person that I could speak to about anything. She helped us find our own place and post partum she helped massively to get me out of my own head and back into reality. She is nothing but supportive and has always been reassuring when I overthink every single thing. She encouraged me to join the breast feeding group which was amazing as it helped my anxiety’s about feeding in public and it was comforting to realise that everyone has ups and downs being a mum and we’re just too harsh on ourselves.

I will be so sad when Kirsty is no longer our family nurse as she really has changed our lives for the better, she is an absolute credit to this team and is just amazing!

Hi Violet 2022

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such lovely feedback for Kirsty and our service, the Family Nurse Partnership. We are delighted that you have really valued your experience on the programme and it is great to hear that you also found our breast feeding group helpful.

We wish you and your wee one the brightest of futures.

Jennifer
