"The staff and nurses were extremely helpful and supportive"

About: Royal Alexandra Hospital / General Surgery (wards 19, 20, 24, 26 &29)

(as a service user),

I had major surgery and the staff and nurses were extremely helpful and supportive of me.

One particular nurse was looking after me and she was very supportive of my well being, l was feeling down one day and she noticed that, she immediately came to see me and asked what was troubling me and that she would always be there if l ever needed someone to talk to. Her name was Amy that's all I know of her, but a truly amazing nurse. l was in ward 24.  l got discharged  and a week later she texted me to ask how l was doing, l know all nurses are very bus, but Amy took the time to check on me after my discharge,

Dear Lorna1

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about Ward 24 at the Royal Alexandra Hospital. It can be a difficult time after having major surgery so it is reassuring to hear that the staff were extremely helpful and supportive, especially Amy.

I wish you well with your recovery.

Take Care

Nicole
