"Theatre and recovery"

About: University Hospital Ayr / General Surgery

(as a service user),

Went in for knee replacement last month and I have to highlight how good the theatre staff and the staff in the recovery room were.   The good old NHS has taken a beating the past few years and I think it’s only fair to acknowledge when a good job has been done. From the initial consultation from Mr Holt and Dr Collier to the actual procedure was amazing. I was well informed. Listened to and felt in very good hands. Even being awake during surgery I felt very calm and very rested.  And when the operation had been done the care was then passed to the nurses in the recovery ward. These nurses were warm, chatty so very helpful. Even down to getting warm blankets. I can’t fault anyone. Thank you so much for caring for me
