"The staff are all excellent"

I recently attended Grantham Hospital for an elective total hip replacement. Naturally, I was very apprehensive about the procedure, but it was a brilliant experience. The ward is modern, clean, spacious, and a very calm environment. The staff are all excellent. They are caring and have time for you. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Most patients are day cases, so I was just one of two patients on the ward with two nurses to look after us at night. The food was very good, and one staff member went out of her way to learn how to make hot chocolate when I asked for one, as she had never made it before. I don't believe it would be possible to get better care and service in the private sector.
