"An appointment"

About: Pilgrim Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust

(as the patient),

I had an appointment in  January at the fracture clinic at Pilgrim hospital. I don't drive so had to catch a bus from my home address to Boston and walk round Boston with a fractured toe. I then got a taxi to the hospital. A bus back from the hospital then a bus back to my home address. I was then called in to my appointment and I think I was only in for about 5mins and told I was been discharged and to do the things I was already doing. I could have been told that all over the phone. I was more annoyed of how much I paid for transport that day.

Good morning Gonk24,

We are sorry to hear of your accident and injury. We appreciate your time and effort in attending the trauma clinic for new patients. The clinic is run as a face to face clinic, due to the nature of our patients' injuries (mostly requiring specialist check X rays and clinical examination by consultants and their team). We are sorry that this appointment did not meet your expectations and do appreciate your efforts in visiting our fracture clinic for check up. We will mention this feedback to the clinical lead. Many thanks and I hope your injury is feeling better very soon.

Sn Lisa Wilkinson
