"An amazing service"

About: Older People’s Services / Hospital at Home Northern Sector

(as a relative),

My mother has MS, she constantly gets infections for which majority of the time she gets admitted to hospital. On her last infection, they advised us of this service. We were so happy as she would be able to stay in the comfort of her own home but still get care she needed to fight infection. The amount of time and care they spent with my mum was unbelievable. Each visit they put my mum and us at ease. Being at home and getting this service I think my mum fought infection quicker. Amazing service and people. Went above and beyond. We have told some many people about this service.

Thanks for your feedback.

The team aim to prevent hospital admission and treat the patient in their own home. I agree that patients tend to recover quicker in their own surroundings and we often find this. Staying at home lets family get more involved in the care needs as they are not restricted to set visiting hours.

The staff are very fortunate to be able to have one to one times with patients and do go above and beyond during treatments. We are also very privileged to be able to treat people in their own home.

I will pass on your kind feedback to al the staff.

Many thanks
