Last year I had a cancer diagnosis .I was consequently referred to Joe Sirichas @ Friends of the Cancer Centre BCH.I was pleased about this referral as I knew it would help me to prepare for my operation.
I experienced the service to be encouraging, user friendly, and it improved my physical activity levels and confidence. I was also able to practise in between sessions by way of a youtube video provided by Joe which was most helpful and easy to follow. I experienced him to be encouraging and professional in his approach and he was able to challenge me in a constructive way when I made mistakes. In short, this is a most useful and necessary service and it had many positive payoffs for me .
Joe was flexible in his approach which allowed him to halt my sessions when my surgery approached. He then contacted post surgery and I was able to complete my sessions when I got stronger. He then sign posted me to relevant services I can now attend to continue with my fitness regime. Joe carried out a comprehensive assessment of my physical ability prior to the sessions commencing and he provided me with relevant feedback when the sessions ended. In summary I was delighted with this service.
"it improved my physical activity levels and confidence"
