"My eyes - Felt I was in good hands"

About: Mater Hospital / Macular Unit

(as a service user),

All the staff were friendly and welcoming. This is my second visit and everything went very smoothly and I was out in no time. That was probably because it was a Saturday morning which was better for me as I work full time. Can I get a Saturday appointment every time please!

Noticed I was asked more questions about my lifestyle and they took my blood pressure which didn’t happen on my last visit in 2015. Felt I was in good hands as the prospect of losing your eyesight is very scary time.

Dear Sparkeye55,

Thank you for taking the time to share your story with us, I am very glad to hear that your appointment went smoothly and you felt well looked after.

At this time our Saturday Clinics run ad hoc, and we would not be able to offer you solely a Saturday appointment, as it is dependant on staff availability and may not be the appropriate clinic for you. Your feedback is very much appreciated.

Kind regards
