Hello,
I have availed of respite in Slieve Roe House three times. I initially came to Slieve Roe at the request of my nephew, he was quite concerned about me after the passing of my dear husband. My nephew had reached out to my social worker to arrange this.
My first experience of Slieve Roe House was over the Christmas holidays in 2022, this was a few weeks after my husband had passed away. I could not of enjoyed myself any better, the company of all the staff and other residents helped me while I was grieving for my Husband.
I then availed of respite in Slieve Roe House when my husbands birthday had come around, on our wedding anniversary and then again for the Christmas holidays. I couldn't bear to spend these times alone.
I cannot put into words how much the staff in Slieve Roe have helped me each and every time I visit. They make me feel so at home and comfortable. Nothing is ever a bother to them, they would bend over backwards to help me and all of the other residents within the home.
I am truly grateful for each and every member of staff for everything they have done for me since my husband passed away.
IN ONE WORD - BRILLIANT!
"I am truly grateful for each and every member of staff"
