My youngest son received support from Leigh in Condorrat Health Centre for a period of time whilst in his preschool year at nursery and into Primary 1. Leigh immediately developed a fantastic, trusting relationship with him, which was no mean feat during a period of time where masks were required for much of this… She was able to engage him, effectively assess where his difficulties lay and devise an appropriate and individualised plan of action to target the challenges he faced with his speech.
He made significant progress quickly, something we hadn’t really expected as he can find it tricky to remain focused and was obviously still young, as well as having missed much of his anticipated nursery education as a result of Covid. This was credit to Leigh and her approach which allowed him to immediately feel at ease, valued and supported. His confidence quickly grew and he was able to recognise his own achievements which was wonderful to see.
Leigh was always welcoming, committed, professional and so approachable with any questions or concerns. An invaluable service and a wonderful therapist. Thank you so much, from the bottom of our hearts.
