Was told to go to A&E by my GP due to red flag infection markers and worsening of 2 major physical health conditions which make me susceptible to infection.
It started off well with reception being polite and booking in and then the triage nurse who immediately sent me through for investigation and treatment.
Then it turned bad, the doctor (i think they never said who they were) before I'd even sat down started by laughing and mocking the GP for panicking, saying that I didn't look unwell (as I wasn't crying or laying on the floor?) and there was no point in waiting to see a doctor.
The doctor did a 1-minute obs check, which were all abnormal and indicative of a bad infection spreading, and proceeded to say they'll prescribe some antibiotics and I can go. No history of medical conditions or medications was taken, no physical exam, no blood tests or treatment given.
Due to this it led to worsening of condition and having to get help elsewhere where bloods and treatments was given to treat and prevent complications.
It pains me to write a bad review as I know how busy and overworked they are and most of the staff here are amazing and have even saved my life in resus before. But this particular person was the rudest, most unprofessional person I've ever met and has put me off ever coming here for help again.
"Mixed review"
