"Overall the service provided was very good"

About: Queen Margaret Hospital / Day Surgery

(as the patient),

* Very Pleased to have used Queen Margaret Hospital for my latest treatment and not Victoria Hospital (parking is a nightmare).

* The service & care from the Surgeon, Anaesthetist & Nursing Staff (especially  Karen & Her Shift replacement) was excellent.

* I reported in for my procedure at 08:00 hours but my Treatment did not commence until after 13:30 hours (5.5 Hours), it would be much better if the waiting time could be reduced.

* After my treatment I was provided with a drink & toast. The Toast was very hard to eat as I had apparently had a tube put down my throat for my treatment.

Buttered Bread or a Wee Sandwich would have been much easier to eat.

It would be much better for me if my Catheter could be removed at the  Queen Margaret Hospital and not Victoria Hospital.

Overall the service provided by the NHS staff was Very Good.

Dear Roy726

Thank you for taking the time to share feedback about your recent admission to day surgery, I'm glad to see that your care was excellent from the nursing staff, Karen, the Surgeon and the Anaesthetist. I'm sorry to see that you were unable to enjoy the toast, this can happen from time for patients. The catheter service you require is currently only provided at the Victoria Hospital. I will share your comments with the teams.

We wish you well in your recovery

Nola and the day surgery team
