A few months ago, I went into hospital with ovarian pain and was originally told it was because of my endometriosis. When a scan was done I was told it was 2 cysts on my ovary. I was discharged with pain killers and 6 weeks later was back for another scan to check how it was. I was then told it was one large cyst (in which I had to go through every avenue to find out - radiologist, secretary, GP etc)
I was then back in hospital again with the pains not being helped with pain relief. I was admitted to the gynae ward and told the cyst I had needed to be removed, but because I was able to walk slightly it was no longer an emergency and would have to be put on a waiting list. I was never told what kind of cyst this was and only found out in my discharge letter it is a septated cyst, which looking up says must be removed upon discovery.
I am apparently at the top of the waiting list but I don’t understand how this could make a difference if there is only one specialist in the Grampian area and I am still in pain, all because I could walk slightly - I was fine? The whole time I was in the ward I had to keep asking for pain killers and begged to be able to eat something after it had apparently been decided I wasn’t getting surgery.
Very confused by it all and praying it is sorted soon.
