Dear earthxe66

Thank you so much for reaching out to us.

My name is Lydia and I am responsible for listening and responding to people's feedback.

I was so glad to read your story of recovery. It sounds like you have been through a lot, and have worked very hard to get your life and family back again.

Getting out of addiction can be really hard, especially when somebody is alcohol dependent as alcohol can easily influence the way they behave and make it very challenging for the people and professionals around them to support them. It sounds like this may have been part of your story, and I am so glad that everybody stuck by you to help you push through those tough days.

I was so happy to hear that you have become alcohol free and that you now have your family back. I can't even begin to imagine how Christmas must have felt for you, being with your children and being able to celebrate with them, without the physical and emotional pressure of having to manage an addiction. I hope you had an absolutely amazing time, being around your loved ones and that many more of these types of Christmases and celebrations will be part of your future.

I'm really glad that the Day Programme has been useful to you and that the team who provide this have been supporting you well, and I will pass this feedback onto them.

I will make sure your kind words about Michelle and the support she has offered you are shared with her and her manager, so that she can receive the praise she deserves for playing such an important role in your recovery. I'm sure she will be very grateful for your feedback and that she feels really glad that she was able to stand by your side and support you in the way she did.

Always remember though, that your story of addiction would not have ended with recovery if you hadn't have been so committed and determined to make positive changes. Without your own hard work and efforts, everything you have achieved would not have been possible.

I hope as you continue to build on the life you have created for yourself, you feel proud every single day of every single achievement.

Thank you again so much for sharing your feedback with us.

Best wishes for the future,

Lydia
