We've spent a full 24 hours at Wishaw general moving from A&E to HDU with our mother Agnes💜. Unfortunately a fight she made but she passed at 1am.
Thanks to the chaplain "wee harry the handsome one" me and my sisters 100% believe his blessing in the A&E bay gave her the strength to wake up for a short period to talk and laugh with us all. This was an invaluable moment for us all. She even got to speak to her sister who she hasn't spoke to in over 20 years.
After this Harry spoke us through every stage from moving wards and the steps after. He made it to my mum's death bed before I did and stayed with us until we got to say goodbye and feel calm.
I really hope this gets back to him and he knows how appreciated he is from me and my family and many others. He is an invaluable member of the hospital who deserves a lot of recognition. Thank you "wee harry" for making us feel every emotion and feel OK about it! I can't imagine how we would have got through this situation without you and your calmness.
From me and my sisters 💜
"Wee Harry the chaplain brought us calmness"
