Called NHS 24 to get a minor injuries appointment for my mum who had a fall and was unable to weight bear. Following their telephone assessment, which took 35 minutes , they arranged for an ambulance to take Mum to Forth Valley.
After a long wait, she was seen by a Nurse and then a lovely Junior Doctor, Kira, who was amazing with Mum , a great listener, a thorough and knowledgeable Clinician and such a lovely person. She really cared , such great empathy and was refreshing to see. Asked useful questions to ascertain a bit more about the how, the when and the why! The Consultant could learn a lot from Kira’ s wonderful way.
After an X-ray we were then seen by OT (didn't catch her name ) and Physio Rosie, who were both fantastic with Mum . Great experience at A&E.
