"Our dad"

We had the difficult decision of whether or not admitting our dad into a care home was the right thing to do. After speaking with the staff at Hillcrest and visiting with my dad to show him what it was like, we decided it would be the best place for my dad to stay.

The staff are so helpful, friendly, attentive, informative, supportive and most of all, they care, about the residents and their family and friends. Nothing is too much trouble.

Our dad has been ill on and off since before he went there to stay and I have to say, he has had more care and attention from the staff than when he was in hospital. I can relax and sleep at night knowing he is in the safest place with the most caring, respectful, trustworthy, knowledgeable staff who have his best interests at heart.

They keep us informed of his progress, if he’s been ill, involve us in any events they are arranging. It was a difficult decision for us all to have our dad admitted into care, but it was the best decision we made, especially him being in Hillcrest. He is settling in nicely, has a great relationship with the staff and other residents, even his elderly Aunt who is now also living there.

I can’t rate the staff and home highly enough and can only thank the staff for everything they do to keep my dad safe and give him the care he deserves. Thank you.
