I recently attended the Northern Devon District Hospital at Barnstaple where I had two procedures for blood in my urine. The first was for an ultra sound. This was carried out on time. The nurse was pleasant and efficient. The whole procedure took just 15 minutes and I was told that I would get the results the next day after my second appointment.
I attended the urology clinic for a flexible cystoscopy the next day. Again, I went in on time after receiving specific instructions from the nurse. I was made to feel at ease by the clinician and consultant. After the procedure was finished, the consultant told me that he believed the bleeding was as a result of post radiotherapy after my prostatectomy five years ago. He also told me that my ultrasound test was negative and he was happy to discharge me.
I wish to congratulate all the staff concerned with my tests and that I am very grateful with the care and attention I received. Well done and thank you.
