"Apparently we need to bring our own water due to cut backs"

About: Craigavon Area Hospital / Outpatients Department (OPD) Trust wide Neurology Services

(as a service user),

I have epilepsy and was at Craigavon Area Hospital recently in the Out Patient Department. I began to feel very unwell, so asked a wonderful nurse who had been so good at making me feel at ease for a glass of water as I knew I was going to collapse.

I was told that they do not have resources/funding to provide this necessary service. Utter shock to hear this!

Has our health service really  got this bad?  Apparently we need to bring our own water due to cut backs

Those that came up with this idea should be ashamed of themselves!

Hi,

Firstly thank you so much for taking the time to post your care opinion. It is so lovely that you have mentioned the care provided by the nurse in the department. I hope that the absence of water did not cause any unnecessary stress. The absence of water has been escalated to management and we hope to have this issue resolved as quick as we can.

Many thanks

Colleen McKenna
