About: Queen Alexandra Hospital / Gynaecology

(as a service user),

I arrived at QA hospital recently for my hysterectomy, after my first cancelled appointment due to strikes.

Was sat there all day and then the consultant came to see me. They said they had to cancel as a surgery had over run and there was no staff available to do my surgery.

I am now waiting to find out what will happen, I have no clue. I am so upset, it takes a lot to build up the courage to have a major surgery, but to have it cancelled twice now is really not OK.
