I’ve had joint problems my entire life due to a disability. Since I was a teenager I’ve tried to get help for the chronic pain associated with my condition - I’ve seen GPs who googled my condition in front of me and said I just wanted more medication and physios who said there was nothing wrong and that I needed to stop being dramatic.
After my pain got drastically worse, I visited the fracture clinic at CRH. Considering my past medical experiences, I wasn’t expecting much, but I wish I’d have visited CRH all those years ago. Everything I said was not only listened to but understood, all tests were done within an hour (no “come back for an X-Ray”) and we got to the bottom of everything in that one appointment.
Even the reception staff were wonderful - having informed them that my allocated appointment was too far in advance and that I couldn’t cope, they called me as soon as there was an earlier cancellation, which luckily for me was an appointment in half an hour’s time!
I had a really wonderful experience at CRH and I hope that all staff get the recognition they deserve. It honestly felt in the same ballpark of private hospital appointments I’ve had, which says a hell of a lot about the standard CRH set for their care - thank you a million times over.
"Thank you a million times over"
