"Excellent caring experience"

(as the patient),

I suffered a badly broken ankle in a motorbike accident. The ambulance staff were on the scene within 10 minutes and were professional and totally excellent, instantly calming and reassuring me.  During the next 2-3 weeks I was in and out of the hospital; A no E; in Ward B23; X Ray Department; Fracture Clinic; Day Care for an operation. I was dealt with and seen by many different individuals from senior consultants, doctors, nursing staff to the porters who cheerfully and efficiently wheeled me around the hospital. Every person I dealt with was absolutely excellent, pleasant, considerate and courteous. Exuded professionalism and inspired in me a confidence of a clear intent to do their very best for me in my situation.

As I write this I am recovering at home and have every expectation that any further treatment I receive will match that I have described here. If the management of the hospital is struggling, as I read in the press, the staff making the hospital work are doing an excellent job. I thank every one of them.
