Acute Care At Home SHSCT : My mum had recurrent infections but was not getting better with antibiotics so Gp referred her to acute care at home team

The team arrived promptly. A Doctor a senior nurse several more junior nurses. They carried out a rapid through assessment, including bloods. Every member of the team were very calm and reassuring and reduced mums anxiety. Their approach was very professional.

They put a referral into the community dietitian as mum has lost considerable weight.

The following day the Consultant reviewed mum at home and she was very down to Earth and explained the service.

The following day the the team physio and OT Came out and made some recommendations for minor adaptations and a walking AID.

I felt like a weight had been lifted finally there was a team of skilled Doctors/Nurses and rehab AHPs who helped immensely.

They treated mum with kindness and respect for someone her age.

They left no stone unturned.

I can speak more highly of their service.
