"It has made me more determined to want a better life"

About: Community Forensic Services / Nottinghamshire MBT Service

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

The people in the MBTi group were lovely and things were always explained in more depth if you didn’t understand them. It has made me more determined to want a better life for myself and children. The facilitators were patient and understanding. I found the whole experience overwhelming at first, yet very helpful and interesting. Overall, it has made me want to be more aware of who I am and get the help I need. I would also have liked to carry on therapy with the people in the MBTi group.

Thank you for sharing your feedback from your time in the MBTi group which we really appreciate. It's great to hear of your positive experience of the group, it's members and how the material was delivered for it to be understood. It sounds like despite finding the group initially overwhelming, which is very understandable, it has given you lots to think about and work towards in terms of goals.

We understand often group members wish to remain with their peers from the MBTi group. Please be assured that we do take time to think about where group members are placed going into MBT therapy, acknowledging the attachments that are made in the MBTi group between peers and upcoming places in therapy groups. It is lovely to hear of your experience of the facilitators, and we will be glad to feed this back to them.

Wishing you all the best in your next step.

Amy
