"I do not believe I could have been assigned to a better team"

I received an appointment for an endoscopy at this unit which is quite far from my home, however with family assistance I was able to attend at a mutually agreed date and time.

Honestly I was very nervous and apprehensive about the procedure in the run up to the appointment and when I arrived.

From the minute I entered the unit the staff were very kind and attentive and took the time to listen to me. From the pre-procedure chat and throughout each member of the team clearly explained what would happen including the options to assist me through the procedure.

Not only that but everyone was extremely caring and patient during the endoscopy itself and also took excellent care of me in the recovery area including making me aware of information on recovery from sedation and aftercare.

I'm sorry I cannot remember all of the names of staff who were with me through the process however I wanted to say thank you very much to everyone in the unit including Rachel, Wendy, Henry (the anaesthetist ) and Dr Kino (the consultant who carried out the endoscopy procedure). You are all wonderful and caring, I do not believe I could have been assigned to a better team for the endoscopy.  Thanks again.
