(as the patient),

Hi I got admitted to Grantham hospital for bowel surgery and from the very first minute I was reassured. Talked through everything and to say the nurses and care people who looked after me was brilliant would be an understatement.

My first time in hospital I was scared anxious but the care went way above my expectation and didnt know lady name but the lady in charge looking after me was a credit to all nurses, can’t thank you all enough.

I feel the nhs comes up for so much unfair publicity but they need to see it from a patient side to appreciate what you do thank you surgical ward 1 for everything and the amazing doctor who carried out my operation eternally grateful

Thank you very much for taking the time to post these kind comments and I will ensure that the whole team see them as it does boost morale for the team to read that the patients have had such a positive experience and from your comments, that is exactly what happened. We do strive to give the best care we can and you are right, the NHS do get some unfair publicity, but the stories from the patients such as yourself make our job worthwhile and prove what we all came into nursing for.
