When I arrived I was obviously anxious and in the throws of addiction drinking two bottles of wine daily. As soon as I arrived I felt safe and cared for. All of the staff were incredibly supportive, thorough and kind. The care from the nurses was incredible I felt that I could completely trust them and be open and honest.
Kerry provided our main support during sessions and free time, she has an incredibly warm, caring and compassionate personality. She always had a smile and it cheered me up every time I saw her. I was able to be open about things that I have not spoken about or dealt with for years, she provided a constant throughout the day and a constant reassurance.
Warren's knowledge on relaxation and meditation was second to none I had never felt so calm and relaxed.
I felt for the first time in years that my head was clear and not going to explode.
I had been encouraged by my key worker Lauren to attend AA meetings but was always too nervous to go. The meetings here from these services and the journeys they shared have meant that I will now have the confidence to attend without any judgment.
The facilities are fabulous having your own room and bathroom is amazing, its another safe space.
The food has been good. It is nice to share a meal with the other residents around the table. I really missed vegetables and salad and felt that there could have been more of this on the menu.
I feel well on my way to recovery thanks to all of the team for their support.
