I can not criticise the NHS, I think they do an amazing job under great challenges coming out the back of Covid.
I injured my knee in Feb 23 and was operated on in Nov 23. Yes, the wait time to get operated on was frustrating as it restricted me, but in that time I went from, Doctor, to Physio, to Xray, to MRI, to Consultant to operation. All the staff at Strathcathro where I had the operation were amazing, very kind and attentive and super efficient in what they do, I could not praise them highly enough.
This is for everyone from staff who looked after me on the ward, in the operating theater, and in recovery, you are a credit to the NHS and to the public.
If there is one area I would like to see improved it's the physio aspect, this felt rushed and basically a leaflet and told to follow the exercises. It would have been good to have had more of a conversation about rehabilitation and longer term rehabilitaion, and potential follow up in a few weeks.
